The Dataset was prepared for Dr. Anna Christina Schütz (Graphische Sammlung, Kunstpalast Düsseldorf) following a visit to the Bibliotheca Hertziana in February 2026. It documents all photographs held in the Hertziana Fotothek that relate to works from the Düsseldorf Graphische Sammlung — a collection built largely by Dieter Graf, former Fotothek director, who specialized in Passeri, Calandrucci, and related draughtsmen and wrote the catalogues for the Kunstpalast. The data comes from three sources: - the MIDAS object catalogue (objects with Verwalter "Düsseldorf / Museum Kunstpalast") - physical storage boxes (konvolute) identified by their titles as Düsseldorf-related, and - OCR transcriptions of folder labels and verso cards. Each of the 15,175 rows of the CSV represents one photograph and carries full object metadata where catalogued (artist, title, medium, dimensions, date, institution, inventory number, Iconclass codes, bibliography), photograph-level fields (bh ID, source, position, date, status), links to the Hertziana online catalogue (foto.biblhertz.it), the Fotothek Navigator (nav.biblhertz.it), and a direct URL to a 450 px JPEG preview, together with the physical container ID and any OCR text found on the folder or card. The script producing the data was set to search --ort "Düsseldorf” --name "Museum Kunstpalast” keywords: "Graphische Sammlung" "Kunstpalast" "Düsseldorf" False positives are likely, as well as rows without a digital image for the lack of it in the MIDAS catalogue. Matches at the end of the list are more likely false positive due to the lack of data to search. The HTML is a derivative of the CSV providing more readable formatting and the images preview with lazy loading. The PDF is also a derivative of the CSV data produced without images (with links however).
